August/September Catchup

Hello everyone! I didn’t have time to do an August catchup last month so it made sense to just combine the two - if you’re unaware of what these are, they’re pretty much a collection of photos and a little bit about my month. They’re not the most interesting but I like to add a little more of a personal element ^_^

So in my Charlotte Tilbury experience post I mentioned that we visited the V&A museum which was such an unexpectedly amazing place to go to. It’s one that we have always overlooked in the past, opting for the science museum or the Natural History one - but it was well worth a visit!

I especially loved the hall in which they had all the Islamic items and objects, from Iran, Istanbul, India etc. I LOVE ottoman print, with the blue and white tiles and it bought back so many memories from my trip two years ago. I also thought this was beautiful, one of the older Qurans - look at the detail! Very beautiful.

We also made a trip to Harrods and I’m pretty proud of this shot - honestly nothing can prepare you for how huge the store is, till you see it with your own eyes! The doormen made the whole experience even more surreal to me because it reminded me of both old-school shopping and also royalty came to mind. As we walked through the designer bags we heard a woman purchasing a bag for £2,893 and we were like woaaaaah. Are you guys into designer bags? They’re beautiful to look at but I’m not sure if I’ll ever get one, even when I’m working because I would be so worried about it getting scuffed! However to own ONE Chanel bag one day...that would be pretty cool :p

I was also introduced to GBK by my friend (guys I was literally calling this place gourmet burger king for the longest time SMH) and there’s one chicken option there that they make using Halal meat, so I was thrilled to be eating a chicken burger in a standard restaurant. Of course in this day and age there isn’t a shortage of halal takeaways, but it’s not easy to find restaurants who cater for a halal diet and oh my goodness the burger and very skinny fries!

At the end of August we went to the Lake District for a few days, with mum’s sister and her family. We had been three years previously and it was lovely to come back. As you can see it’s a beautiful area to have a good rest in the freshest of fresh air. I don’t live in London, so personally we are quite used to lakes and greenery, but for my London family I think it was extra special!

The most exciting part of the trip was actually pushing ourselves to do the Go Ape challenge - which is basically being very very high up in the tree tops, attaching yourself on and off from wires above and walking, crawling and balancing your way through the 3 hour course. Did I mention you’re 18 feet in the air??? I don’t have a huge fear of heights, but I never felt totally at ease either, so to be doing this challenge was a huge deal. I went last in line from my family, not wanting to hold them up and it was terrifying! But...scary in a good way y’know? Some parts of the course were really fun, mainly the zip wires, but some were downright unthinkable. Especially the ones which were like a bridge made out of planks, but there was only room for ONE foot ANNNNNDDDDDD the planks swung! URGH. It felt so good completing those.

Another literally unnerving experience was tarzan swing - you jump into the air and drop before you swing into a rope net. I didn’t realise (or look down at all at this point) that my parents had finished and were standing near the bottom watching me, so when I let out a bloodcurdling scream I heard them burst out laughing and clapping too haha. Overall though it was a fantastic experience and I really felt a sense of achievement when getting the little certificate. Especially as WE had to detach and reattach ourselves to each wire! No instructors were around at each base so our lives were literally in our own hands, welp. Click here to watch a short video - you won't believe I did it after you watch this! Adrenaline rush is an understatement.

It was also lovely to go on a little lake cruise and explore the surrounding areas. We then finished with a trip to Alton Towers - I didn’t take my camera but I was so so SOOO scared, because this year there was a huge accident on one of the rides and two girls actually had to have their leg amputated. I really didn’t want to go to be honest, however when we got there it was considerable quieter than usual (!) and because of this we got to go on all the other rides and even two of them twice. I sadly feel like I’m outgrowing themeparks already, I did have a lot of fun but I also am in no hurry to go to one again. Plus them parks be expensive y’know xD.

Then September there was just wedding event after wedding event, which was fun because I love playing with makeup and being creative in that sense. I also worked a lot of hours and managed to lose a bit of weight too, since I had put on quite a bit of weight towards to end of July/August. For me its just not buying junk food, my mum has always been an advocate of healthy eating, but when you’re an adult you have a lot more access to all the high fat stuff and it kind of got out of hand. I’m still working on my fitness, however just cutting down on the bad stuff and eating a bit more fruit really went a long way.

A bit of a longer post, but it was two months worth hehe. My favourites should be up very soon! Crazy that we’re already in October right! I’m so happy I can start layering up again, though here in the U.K it’s been VERY warm....so typical!

How was your September?

Review | Colourpop Lippie Stix In Brink

colourpop lippiestix in brink swatch and review

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to be reviewing my favourite lip product of the moment, the Colourpop lippie stix in Brink. For those of you who have been living under a rock, colourpop is a U.S brand which is only available online - they have a HUGE selection of colours for lipsticks and eyeshadows, not to mention a bunch of blushers, highlights and bronzers. Price wise they’re very affordable which is probably one of the reasons why they’re so loved. Unfortunately colourpop still don’t offer shipping to the U.K so to read about how I got my hands on them click here. I ordered 3 of the lippie stix and Brink has been my go-to and one that I’ll be repurchasing in the future.

Packaging wise I feel like you get what you pay for, I hate having this floating about in my bag alone because the lid has come off. Also the holographic logo has faded now because I have used it so much, but that isn’t a big deal because the product itself is so good. The slanted tip makes application easy and when applied it feels lightweight - I love it when I can forget about a product on the lips but it lasts for a good while.  The formulation of this lippie stix is amazing, despite being in the matte family, I am always surprised to find how creamy it feels. It’s not drying in the slightest, so it gets a big thumbs up from me there.

colourpop lippiestix in brink swatch and review

Colourpop describe Brink as a ‘A warm dusty taupe’ which has been inspired by the coveted Kylie Jenner signature lip. I agree with part of the shade description, its such a flattering warm dusty pink which looks particularly beautiful against warm skintones. However I don’t think it’s quite as taupe as the K.J lip shade - perhaps Brink mixed with Lumiere would achieve that? For me it’s pretty close to my own lips, probably two shades deeper. Sophisticated, yet effortless and the ‘matte’ finish means it has a good amount of staying power. When used with a lip liner, I find it lasts all day with perhaps just one touchup after eating, however I can also use it without a lip liner and get a decent amount of wear time.

What is your current go-to lip shade? Have you got any Colourpop lippie stix favourites?

The Makeup Collection Is Complete

This year I have hauled a LOT of makeup, checked off so many things from my wishlist and built a collection I am pretty proud of. However I didn’t think I would be saying ‘I have enough makeup now’ for a while. This probably sounds ridiculous to those of you who aren’t really into beauty, but for a bblogger it’s not uncommon.

I mean sure I had the basics for quite some time, a highend foundation, a drugstore foundation, a couple of concealers, one or two eyeliners and the list goes on. For the majority of people this is enough. But for those of us interested enough in makeup to write multiple posts a month about it (not to mention the fact that every single week we are reading blogposts from our fellow enablers, convincing us that we should purchase X,Y and Z)...well with time you have more than a makeup bags amount and the collection continues to grow! I love finding bargains, taking advantage of student discounts and getting online deliveries but really I just have one face...and more than enough makeup to last me.

I’ve spent the week preparing for Uni = clearing out my room. Part of that has meant dealing with my dressing table which has been covered in makeup, due to a lot of wedding and evening events as of late. Whilst putting everything away and shopping my stash, I’ve come to realise that I am so so happy with my makeup collection now! Okay so I still have a sticky note open with a list of things I’d like to trial in the future, but it’s nothing urgent. I honestly can’t think of anything I really want, which in itself is a great feeling, so I’ve decided to set myself a challenge.

I’m not going to call it a makeup ban, purely because I know I’m not so great at sticking to those. It’s just a rather large challenge...are you ready to hear what exactly that is? I’m going to try and refrain from buying any makeup until my 21st birthday. Which is approximately 8 months away. *Gulps*. Now I have allowed myself a small budget for when the x-mas sales begin, but aside from that I am just going to be using my existing makeup and hopefully hitting pan on a lot of items. Instead of hauls, there should be empties and of course a tonne of reviews because when you aren’t buying more, you have a lot of time to actually use what you own y’know? 8 months will literally be the longest time I have ever gone without buying makeup since I was like 15, so of course I will most likely be treating myself to another Sephora haul for my 21st but ONLY if I complete my challenge.

Please wish me luck! I’m sure you’ll be getting detailed monthly updates with how I’m getting on ^_^ I’m feeling a little nervous but a lot more excited to face this challenge head on - especially as recently I’ve been working hard on a budget and being more responsible with money *feels like a responsible adult*.

How long have you gone without buying makeup?

Introducing SoapNSkin - A British Natural Skincare Brand

Hello everyone, I have a really exciting post today, one that has been in the works for over a month! Right before I set off to the Lake District in August the lovely Rabia got in contact with me and asked if I wanted to test out some products from her brand ‘SoapNSkin’. I didn’t realise that I had actually seen this brand before at the Smoky not Smudgy event!  I remember being really impressed because they pride themselves in providing high quality, luxurious products for an affordable price, using pure and natural ingredients. I also had no idea that every single product is handmade in their (Samar and Rabia’s) kitchens. You’ll understand why I was surprised to read this when you see what is inside this lovely box...ladies you have created a brand with products that not only look swish, but work very well - it totally exceeded my expectations!

So if you’re a regular reader of my blog you’ll know that I’m not one for sticking to natural products because I find them hard to come by and when I do actually find them, they generally are out of my skincare budget! However I am a big fan of oils, having experienced impressive results with sweet almond oil in particular for my undereyes, so to incorporate more natural products in my routine was very exciting. Rabia kindly sent me the Try Me Selection Box* which includes a Shampoo, Body Wash, Soap and Body Butter. On the website they say the sizes are ‘try me’ and I think they’re very very generous, you get a real feel for the product and can decide if you get along with it. If you do love it, you can purchase a larger size which is so cost effective! The box itself is very sleek with the logo written on top and it’s secured with a magnetic flap- swish.

Before you see the products on the inside you’re greeted with a card giving some info about the brand. Also you get a little leaflet with details about other products in the range, along with the ingredients and what it is supposed to help with. None of the products have SLS in them, which is a chemical used in a lot of personal hygiene products from mainstream brands. However it is also used as a skin irritant for testing out if lotions work! It is used as pesticides, it’s an eye irritant and there are so many other things I learnt about this harsh chemical when researching into why you should avoid the stuff. I didn’t know that dandruff could be caused by shampoo with SLS in it! So I will definitely be looking out for the chemical and avoiding it in future.

And now onto the actual products!

The Balance & Nourish Body Wash in Neroli & Patchouli with Jojoba Oil has a much thinner consistency than your typical body wash, which is probably due to the oil in the ingredients. My arms and legs are very sensitive so I was a tad nervous about using this, but I had nothing to worry about. As I rubbed this into my skin a light lather appeared and my skin felt pleasantly soft thanks to the jojoba oil. Personally I’m not a big fan of the musky fragrance, which does linger (so it’s a plus if the scent is your cup of tea!). I didn’t find myself using too much product and I think the £6 price tag for the 150ml size is very reasonable, especially considering the ingredients. The other body wash in the range is made from Rose and Sandalwood which sounds like something I’d like to try in the future.

The Stimulate and Invigorate Shampoo in Rosemary & Peppermint with Argan Oil is a product I really enjoy using. I could smell and feel the peppermint oil working on my locks and it was very uplifting. My hair and scalp felt super clean after using this shampoo, no build up and no tightness. Also I love using Argan oil in my hair after a shower, so having it in the ingredients was another bonus for me. Also a note on the packaging, can you believe these aren’t from a huge company who have all their products mass produced?? From the shape of the bottle, to the labels and finally the dispenser, I really cannot fault it.

The Soften and Hydrate Hand & Body Soap in Honey and Oak with Manuka Essential Oil was another hit for me. Normally I stay away from bar soaps because I used to find them so drying when I was younger - this one proved that all bar soaps are not created equally. I LOVE honey, it is a miracle product and if I can get it in skincare, I’ll jump at the chance. This soap cleans well and leaves my skin without any tight, dry feeling.

Finally we have the Soothing Body Butter in Rose & Sandalwood with Neem Oil which is one of my favourites from the box. Normally body butters have a wet light texture, however this natural butter is very similar to a cleansing balm. You take a little, rub it inbetween your fingertips and it melts down into more of a liquid texture. I love putting this onto my arms and legs after a shower, before I go to bed because I wake up with skin that is hydrated and soft. Also in the past week I was reading one of their blog posts (available on their site!) and they were saying how it makes a lovely overnight treatment for the face - I totally agree! As my skin is normal/dehydrated it loves this stuff, the natural ingredients work a treat.

SoapNSkin are such a high quality brand, yet they charge very reasonable prices for what they are selling. Everything from the website to the packaging is professional and well made. I am excited to place an order when I’m finished with these and I think the try me selection box is perfect for getting a real test of each product, there’s enough in there to know if it’s made a difference to your skincare/haircare. You can find the brand on social media @SoapNskin and do get in contact with the ladies if you have any questions, they're super helpful!

Do you use any Natural Products? What has caught your eye from the box?

Requested | Battle of the drugstore liquid liners

battle of the drugstore liquid eyeliners best liquid eyeliner uk

Hello everyone! I frequently say that eyeliner is a staple in my makeup routine and if I could only wear two makeup products for the rest of my life, it would be concealer and liner for sure. So, because of this unending love for the stuff I have quite a large collection of them and as I keep getting questions for recommendations I thought I’d combine them all into one post. It’s not a good idea to have such a huge collection by the way, since eyeliner’s 'recommended' shelf life tend to be around 6 months, but normally when there are special offers...3for2s etc. I end up buying a new liner or two..this has got to stop!

The reason why I love lining my eyes is because it makes the biggest difference! Eyes look larger, you can do a little flick to make them look longer or you can go all out and do a classic wing - timeless. Somehow my makeup never quite feels complete without those two lines on my eyelids and so it’s not really so surprising that I have tried so many. Also just a quick note, I am a big fan of drugstore and high-end makeup however there are some products which are only worth picking up from the drugstore - eyeliner being one of them. The reason being is the range you can find in your local boots or superdrugs is fantastic and so is the quality - so don’t overlook the drugstore if you’re used to picking up liners around the £20/£30 pricemark, you could save a pretty penny!

There are four types of eyeliners available, pencil, pen, liquid (pot) and gel. This post will only cover pen liners and liquid pot liners because they’re the ones I typically use on a daily basis to line my top lids. Pencils are better for tight-lining and the water line. Gel liners are brilliant, but that is for another post. So let us begin!

Pen Eyeliners

These are the eyeliners which look like a pen and so are comfortable to hold. Many people recommend this type of liner for beginners because you typically have the most control over a pot liner. Less product is dispersed and its less messy too. The main problem you can run into with pen liners is that they have the tendency to dry out quickly - always store them downwards! This way the ink will be built up near the nib and you won’t have the frustration of drawing half a line and then running out. Price wise pen liners are pretty budget friendly and if you are a newbie to lining your eyes I may have the perfect one for you!

collection extreme 24 hours felt tip liner pen jordana fabuliner felt tip pen review and swatch

Collection Extreme 24hour Felt Tip Liner |  £2.99
This is a newer liner in my collection so not one I have used frequently but I have to say I’m vey impressed. The nib is pretty slim with a sharp point meaning it’s easy to create a flick and actually lining the eyes is a piece of cake. Some nibs can be pretty thick meaning its easy to make a mistake or over-do the line but not this one. The pigmentation is awesome, one swipe is black enough for me and that is always a good thing! It dries quickly, doesn’t smudge and lasts a decent amount of time on the lid - not sure about 24 hours, but it stands its ground! No crumbling, flaking or fading. Removal wise it comes off easily too, again another thumbs up and really what else do you want for 3 quid?? The liner is very affordable so I would recommend this one to total newbies. The only thing I’m unsure of so far, is how long the pen lasts once opened, but to be honest even if its around 2 or 3 months I still think it’s worth repurchasing a couple of times a year - especially in a 3for2!

Rating: 9      Repurchase: Yes!

Jordana Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner | $2.99
I picked this up over a year ago from beautyjoint.com (my go to for American makeup)...but I only got around to opening it a few weeks ago. Turns out I shouldn’t have bothered ordering this...it left me very disappointed. Although the nib looks promising (very similar to the collection one) the pigmentation is rubbish! And it was rubbish from the first swipe, so unless I got a bad one I don’t understand why they bother making such useless liners. It takes a good few swipes to get a half decent line and by that time my eyelid started feeling rather abused and scratched. Bottom line: AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Rating: 0   Repurchase: Nope!

soap and glory supercat liner review swtch topshop magic liner in engraved review and swatch

Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen Carbon Black Extreme | £6.00
I discovered this a couple of months ago after having it in my collection for AGES. The liner lasts an impressive amount of time without drying up, that’s for sure! Anyways the nib is pretty easy to line and it lasts a decent amount of time on the eyes. I wouldn’t say a full 9 hours but it stretches to 7 at least (this could be different depending on the primer you use, if you do use one). It doesn’t smudge which is another plus and it’s easy to remove at the end of the day. Based on all these points it was one of my favourites, but I’ve realised that there are more pigmented pen liners for a similar (or cheaper!) price point and they’ve lasted longer on the lids for me personally.

Rating: 7  Repurchase: Probably not!

Topshop Magic Liner in Engraved |  £6.50
This is the one that’s knocked the crown off Soap and Glory’s head! It has the best nib from all of them in my opinion, its longer than the others, thin and soft enough to feel comfortable but not so soft that its hard to form a line. I think the nib is made of a foam like material. The size makes it easy to line the eyes and also to create a thin flick, or a thick one too. It’s the quickest pen eyeliner to use when I want to create a flick and it’s also very black. It remains intact for a good 9 hours at least. Please excuse the swatch above, I cleared swatches off my arm with a makeup wipe and didn’t wait for it to dry...which resulted in the liner bleeding D: It does not normally do that! Though it does have a wetter formula than most pen liners. The liner is easy to remove at the end of the day and doesn’t flake off. The only downside is that apparently it dries up pretty quickly, as pen liners are notorious at doing. So I’ll probably stock up on these during Topshop’s 20% off sales.

Rating: 8.5  Repurchase: Yes but in the sale lol ^_^

Roundup: So there we have the four pen eyeliners and for me the collection one has come out on top! It’s the best for beginners. I would also recommend the Topshop magic liner for those of you who are a bit more experienced with eyeliners and love to do a cat flick because it’s the one that helps you achieve that look the easiest!

collection fast stroke liquid liner, bourjois liquid liner, rimmel exaggerate liquid liner

Liquid Pot Liners

These are my go-to liners over the pens because they’ll last you months and months before they dry out. I also started out with lining my eyes when I was 15 using this type of eyeliner...quite impressed with myself because it is no mean feat! Liquid pot liners come with a pot of liquid that you dip the brush in. Formulas really vary from totally matte to glossy and so do brush sizes. These eyeliners are more messy than pen liners because you may have too much product on the brush and overload your eyelid. However once you get the technique right and get used to a particular liner it can be just as quick to line and wing your eyes with these, as it is with pen liners.

collection extreme 24 hours felt tip liner pen jordana fabuliner felt tip pen review and swatch

This liner has already been featured on my blog as one of my favourites of all time because its affordable, super pigmented and easy to use. The nib when you first get it does help you achieve a neat line in one stroke and the point is fine enough to get a wing. This liner also lasts for ages! The value for money is awesome. I love the brown liner for a slightly softer look, but the black is my most used. So you can understand why I had to write a review. However I have two issues with this, firstly after a few months the shape of the nib becomes distorted meaning its very hard to achieve a thin line, as you can see from the swatches above. Secondly quite a lot of people have said that it can sting their eyes so if you have sensitive ones perhaps keep away. I tend to go for this liner when I want a strong wing and for the price it’s pretty good! P.S I am definitely chucking these two away though, those lines are ridiculous.

Rating: 7      Repurchase: Possibly

rimmel exaggerate eyeliner and bourjois 16hr liner pinceau liner review and swatch

This was the ORIGINAL eyeliner in my life, the first one I used back when I was just getting into makeup and funnily enough the other day I found some clips from a geography project, in which I was the news reporter and the first thing that came to mind was - girl your wing was on fleeeeek. (And I don't use the word fleek on a regular basis fyi) For real guys, my liner was more on point at that age than it is most days now! ._. That’s what I get for continuously opening new liners and trying to use up each one without wastage. Anyway I really don’t know why I didn’t repurchase this liner sooner, its opaque with one swipe, the brush is wonderful and sturdy, not too thick, nor too thin and the formula is also super. It doesn’t flake or smudge and it stays put! There is no stinging and the brush keeps its shape pretty well. I think I get at least 8 hours of wear from this before it starts fading. It’s also easy to remove at the end of day, so no tugging required. Ding ding ding ding, we have a winner!

Rating: 9 Repurchase: Yes I would.

Bourjois 16hr Linear Pinceau Liquid Liner | £6.99 | Review
I cannot believe how long it’s been since I reviewed this...and it’s still going strong! Give me a moment to get over my shock here because I reviewed it in January 2014..what?! Anyways this has a super fine brush tip and from all the liners its probably the most similar to an actual makeup brush. Very thin and very flexible. I think it’s a good choice if you always get your liner too thick, or if you have a small lid space because you can finely line the eyelids without much trouble. It’s not as pigmented as the Rimmel one but you can build it up. The main issue I had and still do sometimes is that it just doesn’t last well - UNLESS you have a good base in place! And sometimes that just means dusting some translucent powder over the lids before applying the liner. Overall I’m really impressed with how long this has lasted..and if you can get on with it, it’s awesome value for money!

Rating: 7.5  Repurchase: Probably not.

seventeen semi permanent tattoo me liner review and swatch

Seventeen Semi Permanent Tattoo Me Liquid Liner | £4.99
Finally a tricky little liner, but the one to go for if you always find your eyeliner leaves your lid half way through the day. The word tattoo is an accurate representation of how long this’ll last, not permanent of course!! But it is without a doubt the longest lasting liner in my collection. The nib is super thin and I think this is the bit which makes it somewhat tricky to use, especially as the formula is a little sticky? However the pigmentation is awesome, you don’t need to keep going over the line, one swipe is enough. The best way to use it in my experience is to start with the inner corner and take your time. Once you get the hang of it, it’s all good but I have warned you it’s not the easiest. Also to remove it I always go in with an oil based cleanser.

Rating: 8  Repurchase: Yes, especially if I was going on holiday to a really hot place.

Roundup: So all in all the pot liquid liners came out stronger than the pens, pigmentation wise and I generally have enjoyed using each of these. The one I would recommend to beginners, if you’re feeling confident to use a pot liquid liner is the Rimmel one as the brush is pretty firm and easy to draw a line with. Of course if you’d prefer a smaller brush, go for the bourjois one but make sure your lids are well prepped and if you’re looking for a budge-proof one the Seventeen one is calling your name!

I really hope this post was useful for you! Eyeliner is a staple in my makeup routine and I’m always trying out different brands...but after sitting down and comparing them all I think I’ve found MY personal favourites too ^_^

What is your go to liquid liner?

sainsburys stationary 356 diary gold notebook

A bit of a different post from me as this doesn’t include a single makeup or beauty item (nope not even a lip balm) but I just had to share this with you all. When at Sainsburys, I’ll quite often check out their stationary section for any special offers and I love that they regularly switch up the designers/collections. Usually one or two items will catch my eye but this time EVERYTHING from a particular collection had my eye turning into little love hearts, seriously I was in my element! The brand itself is called ‘gostationary’ and you can find them online but their stuff is a lot more expensive from their site then it was in-store so I highly recommend you checking out Sainsburys if you like the look of these ^_^

The gold foiled polka dot notebooks were what I picked up immediately, look at how chic they are! It’s the type of stationary you’d find at paperchase but these were only £3 each! SUCH A BARGAIN! I’m not totally use what I’ll use them for yet, but I picked up two and I’m sure you’ll see them popping up in a few photos as props hehe.

I also got a page a day diary in this beautiful mustard yellow colour and it is perfection. It starts from August 2015 and ends with July 2016 so great for students! It's a neat size to pop in your bag and inside there is more than enough room to write a todo list. It also includes a monthly over-view, a section for birthdays, address section, notes section and a timetable layout so it’s much more handy than I expected. I’m not really a diary person but this year I’m going to try and use one at the the start and end of every day to make sure I’m on track with University work. The only slight downside is that the cover isn't made of plastic but I'll just have to be more careful when using it and hopefully it'll stay intact for the whole year. The price of the diary is £5 so again a massive bargain for such a chic looking AND useful diary.

TIGER whiteboard

I picked up this cute little piece of A4 paper with ruled lines which is also a whiteboard! This is from the store Tiger which I’m also prone to having a good wander through because it’s perfect for anyone on a budget. If I lived away from home for Uni it would be one of my go-tos for all things kitchen! This whiteboard and marker set costs £2 and then primary reason I bought it was for essay planning, I prefer to plan things on paper and generally end up using too much of the stuff. So ecofriendly and mighty useful, what is not to love?

TIGER Copper basket hijab storage

I didn’t manage to get a full photo of it, but whilst in Tiger I also bought this beautiful copper coloured basket which I’ll be using for hijab storage. It was only a fiver which again is such a BARGAIN! I would have expected it to be at least double the price and as I don’t have a very effective storage system going for my scarves right now I thought this would be perfect.
Let me know if you enjoyed this post - I’d love to write more in the future to share the awesome deals I find ^_^

Have you picked up any nice stationary recently?

Thank-you for reading ♥
