July Makeup Haul

Although this is titled ‘July haul’, it’s really more of a May-July one but being too busy to blog, I decided to bulk it all into here. And to be honest there isn’t a LOT of makeup…I do have an ABH order to share soon with that controversial palette, but all in all I’ve kept makeup buying to the minimum. Mainly because I only started earning in July and that was just for three short weeks! I’ve been living on a proper student budget with absolutely no income at all from September 2016 and it wasn't fun, however it was valuable to have to live on a stricter budget and think carefully about where money was going. Anyway, I digress!  I justified myself the ABH haul and the things in this haul are kinda spontaneous and were mainly on sale so on with the haul!!

So starting off with Kiko, a store I now have in my local centre, I decided to pick up some things on whim. Lets start with the Everlasting colour precision lip liner in 402 (£5.90) - whilst the design is super cute, the packaging is pretty high end and it even comes with a sharpner and applicator (a rubber thing on the end, which is good for neating up application), I don't love to use this as an actual lip liner. 402 is faaaar too light to actually line my lips, however it can work all over the lips as a nude (though it is a smidge chalky looking). The formula itself is okay - I won't be rushing to purchase more shades in the future though.

What actually inspired this order was my search for the perfect mustard yellow eyeshadow, which I discovered was available from the kiko store thanks to Daria (a brilliant young woman who I’ve followed for a couple of years, love what she tweets about!). These are the Kiko high pigment wet and dry shadows and this is my first time trying them. They're currently £4.80 each (on sale), which is a similar price point to MUG, so it was a bit of a risk picking up five shades without swatching a single one. I’ve loved the water eyeshadows, with that golden one being a firm favourite (I have at least one back up), however this was an entirely new range to me. I’ve swatched their cheaper one in store and wasn’t impressed at all, definitely avoid those ones. These however are pretty darn great. They contain 2g of product per pan, which is 0.2g more than MUG. Also the shadows are removeable from the black packaging, which means you can take them out and put them into an empty metal palette - winning!

The shades I purchased are:

57   - a rich cobalt blue, muted, yet still bright enough to be a pop of a colour. I had to purchase this because I literally have no blues in my collection - aside from a very deep one. I think blue shadows aren’t really the norm and I also know an eye shadow look with this along the lower lashline, or all over the lid and blended out with a warmer shade in the crease will look d-e-l-i-g-h-t-f-u-l.

19 - The very reason why I placed the haul in the first place, this is the perfect yellow shade and I've already posted an quick eyeshadow look using it on my instagram (@theblushinggiraffe). However you can get a sneak peak of the shade in the cover photo of this blog post here. The pigmentation of all the shades are really good, but this one impresses me each time I dip my brush in and pack it onto the lid! It definitely rivals MUG and ABH mattes, which is impressive for a drugstore shadow.

91 - Perhaps the only shade that I kinda regret purchasing? Only because its a pretty standard shade, and I own a bunch of golden colours already. Don't get me wrong its a good enough shadow, actually not as rich as the other four mattes - however I will try and get use out of it, or I'll pass it not.Definitely not a colour I'll be repurchasing.

38 - A medium toned pink shade which again screams summer to me. I do actually own a couple of pinks from MUG as it is, but nothing this vibrant. Whether I use this in the crease, or packed all over the lid, I know it'll look beautiful and provide a twist to the usual neutrals I can get stuck in a rut with.

71 - Well this definitely has to be the most out there shade of the bunch, because can you imagine me wearing such a aqua-turquiose?? I'm not sure I can either, but I definitely will be trying it out...I'm thinking this paired with a gold should look pretty sweet...or maybe even as a funky pop of colour in the inner corner - oh the possibilities!

Moving on to Anastasia Beverly Hills, I managed to purchase two of her refillable shades from the beautybay sale, where they were only £4 each, and there are still a section available! Now neither of these would be my go-to shades, however they both work really quite well. Especially the darker contour shade: Ash brown, which is one of the most perfect contour shades I've come across! It is pretty deep but leans towards grey, so a little goes a long way to recreate the shadow and add definition. The lighter shade is called golden peach and whilst I don't prefer it to a yellow shade, it works well for everyday.

I had to repurchase one of my favourite lip liners of all time, the Jordana easyliner in tawny (£4.00), unlike the kiko one above, the shade of this is spot on just a tad deeper than my normal lip shade so I can ever so slightly overline, without it looking obvious. Such an under-rated lipliner which more people should know about for sure!

And moving onto those stunning browns, I picked up three more MUG shadows because they're some of my favourites! I got a cute gift card from my lovely colleagues and just had to indulge in some of the newer shades from their line, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE LOWERED THE PRICE AGAIN! Yaaay, no more ridiculous £6+ price tag, these are back to £4.95 and I couldn't be more pleased. Now in these swatches, the focus on my camera was a little off so excuse that, but left-right we have: Tan lines, pocket change and bake sale. The latter swatched the worst, but on the lid with a brush it is beautiful and has become a go-to on a day to day basis.

The three brushes, and final part of this haul, are all from Morphe. I WILL be posting a Morphe brushes collection, it is a work in progress because they have a pretty overwhelming selection! Some I adore and use every other day, others I hardly ever pick up, so I'm looking forwards to sharing that with you. However, for now the newer brushes I purchased are:

M575 (£6.00) : Honestly this is an eyeshadow brush I don't love too much. What drew me in was the tapered point, but the bristles are quite long and hard to control, however it is okay at blended out colour once it has been applied. Not sure how much use I'll get from it, but yes I'm going to be using it a few more times before I post a full review in my Morphe brush collection, so stay tuned.

E8 (£6.00): I'm a big big fan of this one! And the price point is fantastic, I'll be picking up a back up at some point too. The E8 is very versatile, you can use it to blend in cream contour or powder contour, concealer or powder under the eyes due to the size. I was watching Jaclyn's morphe faves the other day and, whatever you think of her, we must all admit that the girl has SKILLZZZZ, especially when it comes to eyeshadow! She said a makeup artist was using the E8 to blend in her foundation flawlessly, so that is something I will be trying out and reporting to back to you all, but all-in-all, I'm highly recommend you pick on up.

M164 (£5.50): Definitely on of the most unusual brushes in my collection, this small angled brush is basically going to be your best friend if you dabble in nose contour! It makes contouring the nose sooo easy and as the brushes are synthetic, it works great with cream contour as well as powder shades. Whilst I don't think this is a MUST have, if you are a fan of contouring and no other brushes are cutting it, this little guy for just over a fiver is an absolute bargain.

And that is the end of this haul! Expect another one coming up soon exclusively focused on Anastasia Beverly Hills, but I hope that you enjoyed reading this and perhaps got some inspo for your next makeup splurge 🙊

Anyway, I digress!  I justified myself the ABH haul and the things in this haul are kinda spontaneous and were mainly on sale so on with the haul!!

Everyday makeup routine // current favourites

It's been a while since I've had a proper chat about my current makeup routine and my favourites, so I decided to combine the two and discuss what I've been loving so much, that I've been using them all on the regular. It is officially the summer holidays!! So I've spent the last couple of days either shopping for my first ever classroom, or just lounging about and relaxing at long last. So this makeup routine is more what I was doing in the final weeks of term, whist I was supply teaching (more on that in an update post!).

Starting with the base, I have been LOVING using the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow (£38.50) after applying my favourite moisturiser. As I have been so exhausted since way Easter time - really there has been SO much going on, I feel like my skin really has suffered the consequences 😪. Late nights, stress, dehydration, you all know the drill and my skin will need a good amount of pampering this summer to get back on track. As a little cheat, I've been using the wonder glow to add some glow and not only does my foundation look better over the top, but it just adds a gorgeous sheen to the skin. On no makeup days I like mixing a little in with my moisturiser too. I think there are better liquid lighters out there in terms of intensity, but this is a beautiful before foundation step. The base of choice, has been the Wet'n'wild photo foundation in golden beige ($5.99) . I've linked the site where I purchased mine from, and if you don't spend over £15 you won't be charged customs. Anyways this foundation is gorgeous, I love it and I can't believe it's so incredibly affordable! I definitely will be repurchasing it - the shade match is amaaaazing, the coverage is medium and the finish is pretty natural. Let me know if you'd like a full review.

Also it's not often that I talk about foundation brushes, because I am a HUGE beauty blender fan...but I have just gone about 3 months without using one. I really couldn't justify picking another one up whilst I was training and not earning a penny, so I decided to use face brushes and fingers. Don't get me wrong, beauty blenders are still the one and only tool for me if I HAD to pick, but actually the Morphe E6 brush (£15.00) is brilliant. I felt like I was using less product with this brush and with a stippling motion, the size of the brush meant my face was blended in next to no time - perfect for anyone with a busy morning routine. I used to adore the RT buffing brush, but I've literally chucked those out since I've had this in my collection, cause they just do not compare!

Moving on to concealer, old habits die hard here! Well, actually in the last couple of months I did try this phase of going for a lighter coverage undereye, but nothing would work as well as my beloved Kevyn Aucoin Sensual skin enhancer in SX07 (£38.00) reviewed here.  And what I love most about this pot of goodness is that you can actually adjust the coverage if need be. It's my tried and tested and has definitely earned the title of H.G. And to set it, as you can tell from the photo I have been loving yet another U.S drugtore product - the wet'n'wild contouring powder in caramel toffee ($5.99). Majorly hit pan and I will be ordering another one soon, because I love it, the yellow powder is so brightening and its really comparable to more high end powders. I also still do my 'light bake' with whatever loose powder I am using, I don't have a particular favourite at the moment, but just search loose powder in the side bar if you want to know my thoughts on the ones I've used.

Brows...really not much has changed here either! I am still smitten with the ABH dip brow in chocolate (£15.00) and in total shock that it has lasted this long. I have often added a couple of drops of the kiko mixing solution (not on the website for some strange reason!) which works really well at reviving it. The brush I've been obsessed with for the last few months is actually the primark brow brush (£2.50), it honestly rivals brushes that are 4-5X the price, I highly recommend you picking it up.

The eyeshadow palette of choice has been the Zoeva Cocoa blend (£18.00), which is genuinely one of the best palette out there right now. The mattes are creamy enough and have good pigment and the shimmer shades are beautiful on the lid. Colourwise, it is just perfection - with all the shades I need for a basic look. Don't get me wrong, my single shadows palette is still my all time favourite because of the amazing variety and formula - but I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone looking for a daily palette with the basics you need if you're a warm toned lover! The mascara of choice has been the Essence rock n doll (£2.80) because it adds a lovely amount of volume - not the most length, but its a goodie!

Moving on to the face powders, it has been a bit of a Narssist party! The laguna-orgasm duo (which you can get an adorable mini version of for just £15!!), is something I kept with my throughout my time in Pakistan, partly for the mirror but also because laguna is a must have for me. As for that iconic blush shade, I certainly don't mind it, but its not something I would purchase the full size of. That mini size is literally perfection, I mean I've not had the chance to see it in person yet, but what an affordable and great way to try some NARS iconics! The second NARS product is the One shocking moment palette (limited edition). I have loved using the various shades in this and I'm so pleased I picked it up, because again it was a very affordable way to try several of their products in one go! To be honest it was tucked away, for far too long, so I've ensured I'm using it on a regular basis and I've got a really good feel for those, so keep an eye out. And finally a non-nars product! The Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in that glow (£40) reviewed here is just my favourite for everyday, its beautiful and if you don't own a glow kit yet....YA NEED ONE OKAY.

And finally on to the lips, I have been obsessed with my oldschool jordana lip liner in tawny ($),which I saw years ago on Carli Bybel's channel. It is perfect, the ideal MLBB shade and great for slightly over lining. The formula is fantastic too, so much so that I had to pick up a back up last month. The Huda Beauty Liquid Lipstick in bombshell (£18.00) and The Balm Meet Matte Hughes in committed (£15.00) reviewed here are the two liquid lippies that have been used the most recently. They're both beautiful pink shades, with fairly similar formulas actually - neither are too thick or heavy and to be honest they don't have the best longevity, but they're lovely! That colourpop lippie is actually their ultra glossy lip in weho (I think!), because I've been loving to switch it up with a different finish. YES, colourpop is a pain in the butt to ship over, but I am soooo impressed with weho, because it's such a comfortable creamy, non-sticky gloss - big big fan.

And that is just about it everybody! Those are my current favourites and go-to products, a mix of high end and low, U.S and UK.

What have you been loving recently?

Everyday makeup routine // current favourites

battle of the drugstore liquid eyeliners best liquid eyeliner uk

Hello everyone! I frequently say that eyeliner is a staple in my makeup routine and if I could only wear two makeup products for the rest of my life, it would be concealer and liner for sure. So, because of this unending love for the stuff I have quite a large collection of them and as I keep getting questions for recommendations I thought I’d combine them all into one post. It’s not a good idea to have such a huge collection by the way, since eyeliner’s 'recommended' shelf life tend to be around 6 months, but normally when there are special offers...3for2s etc. I end up buying a new liner or two..this has got to stop!

The reason why I love lining my eyes is because it makes the biggest difference! Eyes look larger, you can do a little flick to make them look longer or you can go all out and do a classic wing - timeless. Somehow my makeup never quite feels complete without those two lines on my eyelids and so it’s not really so surprising that I have tried so many. Also just a quick note, I am a big fan of drugstore and high-end makeup however there are some products which are only worth picking up from the drugstore - eyeliner being one of them. The reason being is the range you can find in your local boots or superdrugs is fantastic and so is the quality - so don’t overlook the drugstore if you’re used to picking up liners around the £20/£30 pricemark, you could save a pretty penny!

There are four types of eyeliners available, pencil, pen, liquid (pot) and gel. This post will only cover pen liners and liquid pot liners because they’re the ones I typically use on a daily basis to line my top lids. Pencils are better for tight-lining and the water line. Gel liners are brilliant, but that is for another post. So let us begin!

Pen Eyeliners

These are the eyeliners which look like a pen and so are comfortable to hold. Many people recommend this type of liner for beginners because you typically have the most control over a pot liner. Less product is dispersed and its less messy too. The main problem you can run into with pen liners is that they have the tendency to dry out quickly - always store them downwards! This way the ink will be built up near the nib and you won’t have the frustration of drawing half a line and then running out. Price wise pen liners are pretty budget friendly and if you are a newbie to lining your eyes I may have the perfect one for you!

collection extreme 24 hours felt tip liner pen jordana fabuliner felt tip pen review and swatch

Collection Extreme 24hour Felt Tip Liner |  £2.99
This is a newer liner in my collection so not one I have used frequently but I have to say I’m vey impressed. The nib is pretty slim with a sharp point meaning it’s easy to create a flick and actually lining the eyes is a piece of cake. Some nibs can be pretty thick meaning its easy to make a mistake or over-do the line but not this one. The pigmentation is awesome, one swipe is black enough for me and that is always a good thing! It dries quickly, doesn’t smudge and lasts a decent amount of time on the lid - not sure about 24 hours, but it stands its ground! No crumbling, flaking or fading. Removal wise it comes off easily too, again another thumbs up and really what else do you want for 3 quid?? The liner is very affordable so I would recommend this one to total newbies. The only thing I’m unsure of so far, is how long the pen lasts once opened, but to be honest even if its around 2 or 3 months I still think it’s worth repurchasing a couple of times a year - especially in a 3for2!

Rating: 9      Repurchase: Yes!

Jordana Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner | $2.99
I picked this up over a year ago from beautyjoint.com (my go to for American makeup)...but I only got around to opening it a few weeks ago. Turns out I shouldn’t have bothered ordering this...it left me very disappointed. Although the nib looks promising (very similar to the collection one) the pigmentation is rubbish! And it was rubbish from the first swipe, so unless I got a bad one I don’t understand why they bother making such useless liners. It takes a good few swipes to get a half decent line and by that time my eyelid started feeling rather abused and scratched. Bottom line: AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Rating: 0   Repurchase: Nope!

soap and glory supercat liner review swtch topshop magic liner in engraved review and swatch

Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen Carbon Black Extreme | £6.00
I discovered this a couple of months ago after having it in my collection for AGES. The liner lasts an impressive amount of time without drying up, that’s for sure! Anyways the nib is pretty easy to line and it lasts a decent amount of time on the eyes. I wouldn’t say a full 9 hours but it stretches to 7 at least (this could be different depending on the primer you use, if you do use one). It doesn’t smudge which is another plus and it’s easy to remove at the end of the day. Based on all these points it was one of my favourites, but I’ve realised that there are more pigmented pen liners for a similar (or cheaper!) price point and they’ve lasted longer on the lids for me personally.

Rating: 7  Repurchase: Probably not!

Topshop Magic Liner in Engraved |  £6.50
This is the one that’s knocked the crown off Soap and Glory’s head! It has the best nib from all of them in my opinion, its longer than the others, thin and soft enough to feel comfortable but not so soft that its hard to form a line. I think the nib is made of a foam like material. The size makes it easy to line the eyes and also to create a thin flick, or a thick one too. It’s the quickest pen eyeliner to use when I want to create a flick and it’s also very black. It remains intact for a good 9 hours at least. Please excuse the swatch above, I cleared swatches off my arm with a makeup wipe and didn’t wait for it to dry...which resulted in the liner bleeding D: It does not normally do that! Though it does have a wetter formula than most pen liners. The liner is easy to remove at the end of the day and doesn’t flake off. The only downside is that apparently it dries up pretty quickly, as pen liners are notorious at doing. So I’ll probably stock up on these during Topshop’s 20% off sales.

Rating: 8.5  Repurchase: Yes but in the sale lol ^_^

Roundup: So there we have the four pen eyeliners and for me the collection one has come out on top! It’s the best for beginners. I would also recommend the Topshop magic liner for those of you who are a bit more experienced with eyeliners and love to do a cat flick because it’s the one that helps you achieve that look the easiest!

collection fast stroke liquid liner, bourjois liquid liner, rimmel exaggerate liquid liner

Liquid Pot Liners

These are my go-to liners over the pens because they’ll last you months and months before they dry out. I also started out with lining my eyes when I was 15 using this type of eyeliner...quite impressed with myself because it is no mean feat! Liquid pot liners come with a pot of liquid that you dip the brush in. Formulas really vary from totally matte to glossy and so do brush sizes. These eyeliners are more messy than pen liners because you may have too much product on the brush and overload your eyelid. However once you get the technique right and get used to a particular liner it can be just as quick to line and wing your eyes with these, as it is with pen liners.

This liner has already been featured on my blog as one of my favourites of all time because its affordable, super pigmented and easy to use. The nib when you first get it does help you achieve a neat line in one stroke and the point is fine enough to get a wing. This liner also lasts for ages! The value for money is awesome. I love the brown liner for a slightly softer look, but the black is my most used. So you can understand why I had to write a review. However I have two issues with this, firstly after a few months the shape of the nib becomes distorted meaning its very hard to achieve a thin line, as you can see from the swatches above. Secondly quite a lot of people have said that it can sting their eyes so if you have sensitive ones perhaps keep away. I tend to go for this liner when I want a strong wing and for the price it’s pretty good! P.S I am definitely chucking these two away though, those lines are ridiculous.

Rating: 7      Repurchase: Possibly

rimmel exaggerate eyeliner and bourjois 16hr liner pinceau liner review and swatch

This was the ORIGINAL eyeliner in my life, the first one I used back when I was just getting into makeup and funnily enough the other day I found some clips from a geography project, in which I was the news reporter and the first thing that came to mind was - girl your wing was on fleeeeek. (And I don't use the word fleek on a regular basis fyi) For real guys, my liner was more on point at that age than it is most days now! ._. That’s what I get for continuously opening new liners and trying to use up each one without wastage. Anyway I really don’t know why I didn’t repurchase this liner sooner, its opaque with one swipe, the brush is wonderful and sturdy, not too thick, nor too thin and the formula is also super. It doesn’t flake or smudge and it stays put! There is no stinging and the brush keeps its shape pretty well. I think I get at least 8 hours of wear from this before it starts fading. It’s also easy to remove at the end of day, so no tugging required. Ding ding ding ding, we have a winner!

Rating: 9 Repurchase: Yes I would.

Bourjois 16hr Linear Pinceau Liquid Liner | £6.99 | Review
I cannot believe how long it’s been since I reviewed this...and it’s still going strong! Give me a moment to get over my shock here because I reviewed it in January 2014..what?! Anyways this has a super fine brush tip and from all the liners its probably the most similar to an actual makeup brush. Very thin and very flexible. I think it’s a good choice if you always get your liner too thick, or if you have a small lid space because you can finely line the eyelids without much trouble. It’s not as pigmented as the Rimmel one but you can build it up. The main issue I had and still do sometimes is that it just doesn’t last well - UNLESS you have a good base in place! And sometimes that just means dusting some translucent powder over the lids before applying the liner. Overall I’m really impressed with how long this has lasted..and if you can get on with it, it’s awesome value for money!

Rating: 7.5  Repurchase: Probably not.

seventeen semi permanent tattoo me liner review and swatch

Seventeen Semi Permanent Tattoo Me Liquid Liner | £4.99
Finally a tricky little liner, but the one to go for if you always find your eyeliner leaves your lid half way through the day. The word tattoo is an accurate representation of how long this’ll last, not permanent of course!! But it is without a doubt the longest lasting liner in my collection. The nib is super thin and I think this is the bit which makes it somewhat tricky to use, especially as the formula is a little sticky? However the pigmentation is awesome, you don’t need to keep going over the line, one swipe is enough. The best way to use it in my experience is to start with the inner corner and take your time. Once you get the hang of it, it’s all good but I have warned you it’s not the easiest. Also to remove it I always go in with an oil based cleanser.

Rating: 8  Repurchase: Yes, especially if I was going on holiday to a really hot place.

Roundup: So all in all the pot liquid liners came out stronger than the pens, pigmentation wise and I generally have enjoyed using each of these. The one I would recommend to beginners, if you’re feeling confident to use a pot liquid liner is the Rimmel one as the brush is pretty firm and easy to draw a line with. Of course if you’d prefer a smaller brush, go for the bourjois one but make sure your lids are well prepped and if you’re looking for a budge-proof one the Seventeen one is calling your name!

I really hope this post was useful for you! Eyeliner is a staple in my makeup routine and I’m always trying out different brands...but after sitting down and comparing them all I think I’ve found MY personal favourites too ^_^

What is your go to liquid liner?

Haul | US Drugstore/BeautyJoint

BEAUTYJOINT HAUL
Hello everybody!

Again I apologise for my lack of general blogging – exams are over and I have been so busy I’ve not had time to read other blogs, or get back to a schedule…however that is all changing! I have started this Friday with a loose schedule, and I’m planning on sticking to it ^_^ just bear with me for  a few days, and thankyou for all the lovely comments too!

Anyways long intro aside, I am so excited to finally be able to share this haul, because it means I can FINALLY use all of my new goodies! These arrived right in the middle of exams, and I stashed them away until now, so here we go!

wet n wild eyeshadow review comfort zone and walking on eggshells

Starting with eyeshadows, how could I possibly purchase anything from the US drugstore online without dipping into wet’n’wild?! I also opted for the two most talked about palettes; Comfort Zone which consists of eight shades which are all pigmented and soft to the touch. I think each of these shades are flattering for brown eyes and I’m excited to try it out! I also picked up Walking on Eggshells which is a beautiful neutral palette and pretty much perfect the perfect travelling palette! Both palettes come with a sponge applicator and a brush, and on the powders they have wording like ‘browbone’ ‘crease’ ‘eyelid’ and ‘definer’ making it simple for anyone to use!

Next I wanted to try some eyeliners from the drugstore! Over the years of watching various youtubers I have heard a few brands pop up consistently, and one of the most talked about is Milani Liquid Eye which is a pencil eyeliner that transfers as a liquid look. Although I typically only wear gel/liquid liner on the top lid these days, I think a pigmented pencil liner is essential in any collection and I’m hoping this one lasts.

milani liquid eye eye liner review jordana fabuliner jordana 12hr made to last liquid eyeliner review

I then picked up two Jordana liners, one being the Jordana FabuLiner which is a very thin nibbed liquid liner. Honestly I prefer liquid liners which have a pot, rather than a pen form because I find they last longer but for the price I didn’t have much to lose. The Jordana 12hr made to last liquid eyeliner pencil  in the shade 02 Espresso Last was bought because I love a brown shade for some definition, rather than an intense black day-to-day. This is very creamy and comfortable to wear, and the 12hrs seems promising although time will tell. I also love how it doesn’t smudge or budge, and for a couple of dollars I have high hopes so far.

milani baked blush in luminoso 05 review

The only blusher I picked up this time around is the Milani baked blush in 05 Luminoso which I have wanted to get my hands on for almost two years! It is packaged beautifully, if a little bulky (as it comes with its own brush and mirror). The shade is a stunning pinky/coral which’ll be beautiful for this time of year especially. I’ve gotta say I love it when drugstore makes a bit of effort with packaging, and yes although the bulkiness isn’t ideal, the gold makes it look so pretty!

jordana easyliner lip liner tawny review

I picked up one lip-liner based solely on a YouTuber’s recommendation – Carly B seems to always be talking about this (I THINK its this one anyways D:). It was a couple of dollars and a beautiful neutral colour in the shade Tawny. The fact that is is retractable, rather than a pencil form is also great ^_^

Finally I went a little bit craycray with the Wet’n’Wild matte lipsticks! And at that price can you really blame me? ;D I picked up the shades: Just Peachy, Smokin’ Hot Pink, Stoplight Red, Sugar Plum Fairy and Cherry Bomb. So I certainly got a huge range of shades! Again these are cheap, cheerful and comfy on the lips! Who knows…perhaps I’ll start being more brave this summer now.

And that is my first ever USA drugstore haul, from the online store: www.beautyjoint.com. I actually made two separate orders, to keep the price UNDER £15 with each one as always do when ordering from a US online store. This way I avoided paying customs tax and it all got to me within two-three weeks so I am very happy with my experience! I’m also excited to be able to talk to you about different products, and to all my US and Canadian girls out there let me know what you think about these ^_^
I’m temped to pick up a couple of concealers now..at that price it would be rude  not too!

Thanks for reading!
