Hello lovely people! I hope you’re all doing really well. Just a quick post to update you all on my beautiful new Giraffe illustration! ^_^ For a while now I have been wanting to update my old one, which was drawn by my lovely younger sister and that version will always have a place in my heart. However as it’s almost bee two years since TBG has been in existence, I wanted to find an illustrator who would draw me another similar, yet more polished version.
Being the savvy person I am I did a little bit of window shopping online (does that even make sense) and luckily I stumbled across an awesome site called fiverr.com. It’s essentially a collective store like ebay, where creative people can sell their services and the reason it’s called fiverr? Because everything is really affordable! I had a browse through the graphics and design sections and found just what I was looking for. The artist’s username and page is here and she is a pleasure to work with, I honestly couldn’t ask for better service. It was a bit nerve-wracking ‘hiring’ someone, but she made it so easy, we went back and forth at the start with some ideas and what I wanted and then once we had agreed I paid a very reasonable amount and she got to work. Also the response time was speedy and professional.
This is version three of my Giraffe and she was more than happy to make alterations too. I really wanted a drawing version, with the blushing cheeks (of course!!) and the long thick eyelashes and I am in love with how beautiful it has turned out. I hope you all like it too ^_^ and if you are looking for an illustrator I 100% recommend working with Hillirin. I also fid it so awesome that she is all the way from Lithuania, how cool is it that through the internet we can connect with creative and talented people!
